With Jamal out, that means major minutes for the still recuperating Allan Who?ston and TimThom. I say, play Ariza and pray for Penny's hamstring to heal.

But based on highlights and talk with locals, it was the same old story.

But to hear Lenny Wilkens say the Knicks can't stand around on D is a joke. Isn't it his job to orchestrate what the players are doing?

The Knicks stunk tonite. The Mavs ran 'em right out of the building. Dallas got off to a 10-2 start and never looked back. The Knicks came out with no energy tonite, which is not necessarily Lenny's fault. However, in almost every game this year, the Knicks do nothing on offense but stand around the perimeter watching Marbury or Crawford dribble. They don't have a plan for transition defense, or defense in general.

lenny's been playing the wrong guys too. TimThom gets too many minutes when Sweetney, Ariza, and JYD can actually play defense and make plays happen.

The Knicks finally did it on sunday. In a tie game, with just a few minutes the left, the Knicks made a big defensive stop; then they did it again; and then a third time. And just like that, the Knicks made their free-throws on the way to victory.

I don't know if this is a turning point, per se, but it is nice to see that occassionally, the Knicks can finish a game strong.

That's all I got to say: bah, bah, bah-bah-bah-bah, J - Y - D !!!

Oh yeah, that and Iverson sucks.
